Infant Daycare in Rochester, NY

Choosing the right child care for your baby is an important decision. At Twelve Corners Day Care Center, our infant program provides a warm, nurturing environment where babies receive responsive care, individualized attention, and plenty of opportunities to grow and explore. Our experienced teachers work closely with families to create a consistent and caring experience for every child.

Infant Care for Babies 6 Weeks - 18 Months

Our infant program welcomes babies beginning at 6 weeks through approximately 18 months of age. During these early months, children grow and change quickly, so our teachers provide care that is responsive to each child's individual needs, development, and daily routine.

We recognize that every baby is different. Our teachers take the time to learn each child's personality, preferences, schedule, and cues so they can provide comforting and attentive care throughout the day.

A Nurturing Start

Babies need more than supervision—they need loving, responsive relationships with the adults caring for them. Our teachers provide opportunities for infants to interact, explore, move, listen, and discover their surroundings in a safe and supportive environment.

Through talking, singing, reading, playing, and everyday interactions, teachers encourage early communication and help babies begin developing the social, emotional, and physical skills that form the foundation for future learning.

Individualized Care & Attention

Infants have individual sleeping, feeding, and activity patterns, and we work with families to understand those routines. Teachers pay close attention to each baby's cues and needs throughout the day, providing comfort, interaction, rest, and opportunities for exploration.

As your baby grows, we adjust activities and routines to support their changing abilities and encourage new milestones and growing independence.

Our Infant-to-Teacher Ratio

Our infant classroom maintains a 4:1 child-to-teacher ratio, allowing teachers to provide attentive, responsive care throughout the day. A smaller group setting also gives babies opportunities to develop familiar relationships with their caregivers and begin forming positive relationships with other children.

Feeding, Nutrition & Mealtimes

We work with families to understand each baby's feeding routine and individual needs. As children grow and begin transitioning to new foods and mealtimes, our teachers provide appropriate support while helping children develop positive and comfortable eating routines.

Rest & Daily Routines

Rest is an important part of an infant's day. Our teachers work with families to understand each child's sleep patterns and provide a calm environment for rest while following current health and safety practices for infant sleep.

As babies grow, their routines naturally change. We communicate with families about these changes and work together to make adjustments that support each child's development.

Staying Connected With Parents

We believe parents are an important part of their child's care team. Communication between families and teachers helps us understand what is happening at home and provides valuable insight into your baby's changing needs and development.

Whether you're sharing information about your baby's routine, asking a question, or celebrating a new milestone, we want families to feel comfortable communicating with our teachers.

Helping Your Baby Transition to Toddler Care

As your child approaches the toddler years, we work with you to make the transition to the next classroom as comfortable as possible. Teachers can help children become familiar with new routines, surroundings, and caregivers while supporting them as they develop greater independence.

Our goal is to make each transition a positive experience for both children and their families.

A Safe & Supportive Environment

Your baby's safety and well-being are our highest priorities. Our teachers provide attentive supervision and create an environment designed to support infants as they begin moving, exploring, interacting, and discovering the world around them.

We also recognize that a safe environment should feel welcoming and comfortable. Building trusting relationships with children and maintaining open communication with families are important parts of the care we provide.
